I am a certified Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher trained by Daisy Thompson of Northwest Healing Studio in Fremont, Washington and internationally known, Joanna Nielsen, Grand Master. I live in Lake Stevens, Washington with my husband, John, Priscilla the Pomeranian and Beau the GIANT German Shepherd "puppy." My stable, happy home life enables me to devote my energies to working with the angels and practicing Reiki. UPDATE: I lost Priscilla my precious Pomeranian last summer. I’m choosing to keep her in my bio…I now have Shanti (peace) Joy the Cairnoodle who actually does bring me joy.
Education has always been a lifelong pursuit for me. Unable to begin college right after high school, I finally got my degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Washington in 1985. As I then proceeded through life, it became important for me to formally educate myself further to the careers I had chosen. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2007 with my Masters in Adult Education. I sort of did things backwards: I was a Dean of Students at a technical college in 1993 and then promoted to Executive Director of a campus in 1995....AND that's why I got my degree in education. I always chuckle at how I do things.
Counseling, to me, is a part of my life. I have been a volunteer for most of my adult life in various stages of counseling: Crisis Line of Gallatin Valley, Montana; King County Rape Relief, Washington; Patient Rights Board of Directors at Providence Medical Center, Washington; and Crisis Line in Everett, Washington. My passion is people - I LOVE people and I think we ALL have a special path in life. I want to help people find that path and live their most happy, productive life.
I am an avid crystal collector and incorporate their energies into my Reiki practice; I also practice aromatherapy and use its subtle energies to help in the healing arts. Sound healing is of the utmost importance to me also. Using sound in my healing, helps the body become synchronized and hasten healing. I am certified as a practitioner for the Emotion Code (May 2020) - I've known about the Emotion Code for quite a few years and just recently, I figured a way to use it with my Reiki practice. I'm excited to now include The Emotion Code in some of my sessions.
I am an Ordained Minister and have studied with internationally renowned Medium, James Van Praagh, in his one week intensive Mastering Mediumship Workshop. I have been working & learning more extensively about Reiki, Aromatherapy & Sound Healing through reading and learning from other Reiki Master/Teachers since obtaining my Master certification in June 2010. As I have expanded my practice, my intuition has increased multi-fold allowing me to tap into my client's energies and issues thus allowing for a more extensive healing session.
Doreen Virtue's principles are sprinkled throughout my beliefs and I work with the angels extensively. I am a Doreen Virtue Certified Angel Card Reader.
I didn't have an easy life. There were issues presented early in my life as my Mother, a single Mom in the 1950s, struggled to provide for me and my siblings. I chose some iffy roads as I aged, all of which I acknowledge and accept as my growth lessons. ALL my lessons in life make me available and able to connect with others and their problems, non-judgmentally.
All of these modalities help me to give you a thorough Reiki session. Reiki is my calling and I am continuing in my studies and further developing my skills - we are students throughout life.
